Jan-Feb 8 Week Throwing Crash Course - Thursdays 5:30-8:30p

8 Week Throwing Crash Course hosted on Thursdays from 5:30-8:30pm with alternative 9th flex day if needed. Great for those with busy schedules! Beginner and Intermediate friendly (I can scale up the skills learned based on your personal skill level). This course is a total of 24 hours (8 sessions 3hrs each). The course will follow the sequence below consisting of 4 days creating, 2 day trimming, and 2 day glazing your pottery. Learn the basics of throwing pottery from start to finish in a relaxed small group setting!

1/8 Week 1 - The basics of throwing (Can scale up for intermediates) 

1/15 Week 2 - Reclaiming Clay & Throwing continued

1/22 Week 3 - Trimming/Handles 

1/29 Week 4 - Surface Design Techniques & Throwing Continued

2/5 Week 1 - Alternative Clays & Throwing Continued

2/12 Week 2 - Altering Thrown Pieces & Trimming

2/19 Week 3 - Glazing & Surface Design

2/26 Week 4 - Glazing/Glaze Firing

Make up 'flex' day available by request for anyone who could not attend one of the weeks above

*Once you finish your pieces, they will be fired in our off-site kiln. Pickup will be coordinated when they are ready! There are 8 spots available - the course will run with a min of 4 registrations. The course will be canceled if a 4th registrant is not signed up within a week of the first date. You will be refunded in full if the course is canceled. Firing for 12 pieces is included in registration cost. Glaze and Firing for additional pieces is $8/piece.
